Unpopular opinion: I rank this low because farms are generally more of a "win more" tower rather than something that helps you change the tide of battle when you are getting rekt. This is very important for farming strats if you want to go super late game. "Farm subsidy"/"Bigger Banks": Everything on this lines just makes your farms cost less, and output more. You spend 4 points on pre-reqs with zero benefit. This is lower on the list because the other Powers monkey knowledge only helps Powers, which you shouldn't be spamming regularly. Some maps have bad placement for these (like Pat's Pond), while several multi lane maps (like #Ouch) get multiple spikes to cover multiple lanes, which helps a lot. Nice mastery to block leaks (especially in impoppable mode!). "Pre-game Prep" (Powers): Start with 21 road spikes in every lane. The main drawback is that the prerequisite masteries in the hero tree aren't as amazing as in other trees. "Empowered Heroes" (Hero): Heros start at lvl 3. I rank it low because prerequisite masteries are good if you like farms, but bad if you don't. Losing 25% from selling is a lot better than losing 30%. Selling is very powerful, and balanced by how much money you lose by selling. "Better Sell Deals" (Support): Monkeys sell for +5%. Prerequisite masteries are good if you like farms, and bad if you don't. Simple mastery gives a little boost to every strategy at every point of the game. "Veteran Monkey Training" (Support): All monkeys -3% reload time. +1 shuriken helps it keep bloons at bay longer while you get up your main strategy. Bloonjitsu is very powerful as a common starting tower for many early game strats. "Deadly Tranquility" (Magic): Bloonjitsu+Grandmaster ninja get +1 shuriken. Unfortunately, you can also blow this on sub/sniper, which are the cheapest. This discount really helps you get military monkeys going.
Many military monkeys are expensive (like Heli). "Military Constription" (Military): 1st military monkey has -1/3 cost. Even if you don't use alchemist, you should be getting mana shield, so it's only 1 added point out of your way. More monkey money helps unlock things, buy continues, and buy powers. "Mo Monkey Money" (Magic): Get 10% more monkey money from wins. Having -10% MOAB HP is a big boon to your ability to close out late game. The rounds most likely to end your run are rounds with MOAB class bloons. "Big Bloon Sabotage" (Milirary): -10% MOAB HP. "Airforce Upgrades" (Milirary): Ace and heli get +1 pierce. Easily obtained at the top of the tree, and this has a bigger impact because ninja/wizard projectiles seek targets. "Lingering Magic" (Magic): Ninja, wizard, druid, and super monkey projectiles last longer. It lets you get away with leaking a lead or camo bloon for free. This potent shield protects from minor leaks, which is again helpful early on in the game. "Mana shield" (Magic): Shields 25 lives, and regens. Easy to get at the top of the tree, and hugely helps your aquatic monkeys put in work, making water zones on maps way more valuable. "Naval Upgrades" (Milirary): Sub and buccaneer get +1 pierce.

Same as above: a free dart monkey helps you get your game going. This knowledge costs nothing because you should already be getting more cash.
"Bonus Monkey" (Primary): Free Dart monkey. The good masteries on the way make the steep cost not a big deal.
This helps literally every strategy get off the ground during the stage of the game when you are most vulnerable (when you don't have towers). I'm focusing on higher difficulties because the easier difficulties are. I judge "impact" by how helpful it is, balanced with how hard it is to get it.
